3 Service awards from Comfort Systems to Amteck

LEXINGTON, KY, May 19, 2026 — Amteck has become the first electrical contractor in the Comfort Systems USA family to receive major service awards, earning recognition in three categories during the company’s annual service meeting. 

Amteck was recognized with the following awards: 

  • New Service Agreement Sales Award  
  • Service Revenue Growth Award  
  • Service Operation Income Growth Award  

The awards recognize the performance and growth of Amteck’s service organization and reflect the work of teams across every regional office. 

From traditional electrical service work to building management systems (BMS), modular integration, commissioning, remediation & aftermarket services for mission-critical data center support, electrical preventive maintenance services and other global solutions, these awards highlight the breadth of services Amteck delivers to partners across the country.

LEXINGTON, KY, May 16, 2026 — Amteck has achieved an important milestone by becoming a UL 508A Registered Panel Shop partner.

As UL 508A requirements continue to evolve—with increased focus on SCCR calculations, grounding and bonding, enclosure integrity, labeling, and component selection—this designation strengthens Amteck’s ability to support partners with compliant industrial control panel solutions.  

UL 508A defines how industrial control panels are designed, assembled, and labeled to meet safety and inspection standards. Recent updates and clarifications increase emphasis on SCCR accuracy, expanded voltage applications up to 1000V, proper grounding and bonding practices, and more precise disconnect and enclosure requirements. While these changes expand design flexibility, they also increase the level of detail required to ensure panels pass inspection and perform reliably in the field. 

As a UL 508A registered firm, Amteck can provide UL-authorized labeling within its registered scope, SCCR verification support, and access to UL-recognized components, helping customers improve compliance, reduce inspection risk, and move projects forward with greater confidence. 

Amteck operates within the UL 508A framework as a registered panel shop partner and supply chain resource, providing:

  • SCCR verification support aligned with UL 508A Supplement SB

Amteck Invests in the Future Workforce with New Exhibit at Kentucky Science Center

[Lexington, KY – April 24th, 2026] — Amteck is excited to announce the opening of its interactive exhibit at the Kentucky Science Center, designed to introduce students and families to careers in the electrical trade and the opportunities that come with them.  

The exhibit reflects Amteck’s long-term commitment to developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople.  

The skilled trades workforce has declined significantly over the past two decades, influenced by perceptions that college degrees are the primary pathway to successful careers. Amteck is addressing that gap by promoting the electrical trade as a viable, rewarding career with strong earning potential and long-term growth opportunities.  

“Knowledge is a core part of the Amteck Way,” said Corey Bard, President of Amteck, “This exhibit is about opening doors—giving young people real exposure to what a career in the electrical trade can look like and helping them see a future they may not have considered before.” 

The exhibit features five interactive sections designed to engage and educate visitors: 

  • Tools of the Trade – A look at the equipment electricians use every day  
  • How It Works – A hands-on experience focused on understanding electrical systems  
  • Real Stories – Video profiles highlighting individuals working in the trade  
  • The Pathway – Information on apprenticeships, career progression, and debt-free education opportunities  
  • Future Roles – A visual experience showcasing the range of careers within the electrical field  

Visitors will gain a clearer understanding of how the trade operates, the skills involved, and the long-term opportunities available. 

The exhibit is designed to make the electrical trade feel accessible. By combining hands-on interaction with real-world insight, Amteck aims to replace outdated perceptions with a more accurate picture—one that reflects the complexity, innovation, and opportunity within the field.
