What Quick Start Is (and Who It’s For)

Quick Start is built for motivated beginners—people who are ready to show up, learn, and work hard. If you’re looking for a career with hands-on skills, real growth potential, and the chance to build a future in the trades, this is a direct on‑ramp.

You’re a great fit if you have:

A willingness to learn, work hard, and arrive on time
Familiarity with reading tape measures
Experience with basic hand and power tools (helpful, but not a dealbreaker)
Are 18 years of age or older

What You Will Learn in 4 Weeks

Quick Start blends hands-on learning with foundational knowledge so you can step into the field prepared and confident. Training focuses on:

Safety procedures and OSHA requirements
Lift operation
Tool usage (standard hand tools and specialty electrical tools).
Basics of electricity
Basics of conduit bending and installation
How to run high and low voltage wiring
and MORE!

What Happens After You Complete Quick Start

Quick Start isn’t just training—it’s designed to launch a career.

Starter tool set: All participants receive a starter tool set to help begin their career in the electrical trade.

Full-time opportunities: Upon successful completion, participants move into full-time roles such as:

Electricians
Low voltage / fire alarm technicians
Other entry-level positions across Amteck

Pay & progression: $16/hour after completion (note: exact rates may vary by year/location). Additional opportunities for per diem, travel expense reimbursement, etc.

Join Our Apprenticeship Program After Quick Star

Amteck’s apprenticeship program is a great opportunity. It is a registered 4-year program where you receive classroom and on the job training while being paid. Apprentices may travel to different locations to work on construction sites across the country. After successful completion of the 4-year program, apprentices are prepared to take the exam to become a licensed electrician. Becoming an Apprentice with Amteck requires a few steps.
